How do I know what size space I need?
Determining the right size of storage space is one of the most important
decisions when choosing a storage unit. A small space that is efficiently packed
will cost less than a larger space, but if you are going to frequently use the
space and move belongings in or out, a larger space will allow for aisles for
easier mobility. Click on our “storage unit sizes” for a description of each
size. If it is convenient, come to the office and we will show you each of the
sizes we have available.
Should I make a reservation?
Availability changes on a daily basis. We suggest you call us to determine what
sizes we have vacant. You may make advance reservations either on the contact
page of this web site or by calling us during our normal business hours.
What kind of security do you have?
We have a state-of-the-art security system, including computerized access gate,
closed circuit video recording, individual alarm system on each unit and an
intercom system between the office and gate. We maintain a full schedule of
inspection checks each day.
Do I need insurance?
Fire, windstorm, roof leak or burglary can happen anywhere and to anyone. If
your property is worth storing, it’s worth insuring. The self-storage property
is not responsible for any damage that may occur to your personal belongings.
Some insurance protection may be provided under your home owner’s policy, but it
may not be enough. Deans & Homer provides low cost, short-term policies
specially designed for self-storage customers.
Do you keep my key?
You provide your own lock and key so that you are the only one with access to
your unit. You may purchase your lock in our office.
Can I pay for my unit over the phone?
You will need to visit our office to make your initial payment. You can make
arrangements to debit you account or credit card monthly or quarterly.
What type of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American
Express.
Do you sell boxes?
We sell a variety of boxes and packaging materials to assist you in storing your
belongings.
What is the minimum amount of time I can store for?
You can store for a matter of days but the minimum payment required is based on
a one-month stay.
